Privacy Policy
Last updated: 21 May 2026
This page explains what data m3tag.com collects, how it's used, and what choices you have. We've tried to keep it honest and short — there isn't much to disclose because we deliberately collect very little.
1. What we collect
Nothing identifying, by default.
m3tag.com has no sign-up, no login, no comments, no contact forms. You can browse the entire site without us learning who you are.
Click events on affiliate links
When you click a "Buy on Amazon" link (a request to /go/<product-id>), we record:
- The product identifier (ASIN) you clicked
- The timestamp of the click
- The page you came from (HTTP
Refererheader) - Your browser's User-Agent string
- A one-way SHA-256 hash of your IP address, truncated to 16 characters. We do not store your raw IP address.
This data tells us which products convert well so we can prioritise better picks. It cannot be reverse-engineered back to your identity.
Server logs
Our web server (Apache) keeps standard access logs for ~7 days for security and debugging. These include IP, request path, status code, and user agent. They are not used for advertising or shared with third parties.
2. What we do NOT collect
- No first-party tracking cookies (no analytics, no ad pixels, no Facebook tracking).
- No fingerprinting beyond standard server access logs.
- No email addresses unless you contact us directly (in which case the email is only used to reply to you).
- No location, no device sensors, no contacts.
3. Third-party services on this page
- Google Fonts — we load the Inter font from
fonts.googleapis.com. Google sees your IP when this happens; refer to Google's privacy policy. - Amazon — outbound product links route through our
/go/<asin>redirect toamazon.inwith our affiliate tagitsmehere-21appended. Once you land on Amazon, Amazon's own privacy policy applies. - Amazon image CDN — product thumbnails are loaded directly from
m.media-amazon.com. Amazon sees your IP when it serves the image.
4. Affiliate disclosure
m3tag.com participates in the Amazon Associates Program — an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn fees by linking to amazon.in. When you click a product link and buy something within Amazon's cookie window, we receive a small commission. The price you pay is identical whether or not you came through us.
See our full Affiliate Disclosure for more detail.
5. Cookies
m3tag.com does not set any cookies of its own. Amazon will set its own cookies on its domain once you click through; that is governed by Amazon's policies, not ours.
6. Data retention
Click event records are kept indefinitely in aggregate form (we need them to know which products performed). Server access logs are rotated approximately every 7 days.
7. Your rights
Because we don't collect personally identifiable data, there is generally nothing for us to "give back" to you on request. However, if you have a specific concern — for example you believe a log entry is linked to you and want it purged — write to legal@m3tag.com and we'll respond within 30 days.
8. Children
m3tag.com is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If you believe a child has interacted with the site, please contact us.
9. Changes to this policy
If we make material changes to this policy, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top and, where reasonable, post a note on the homepage.
